CoPE: A Collaborative Pedigree Environmentlast revised: Jun 6, 2000
| ![]() |
As a first step, we have developped a pedigree editor using the AWT graphical library. This software is still an alpha-product and must be used with caution. Any feedback on CoPE will be greatly appreciated.
This graphical interface is highly configurable. Almost all
parameters can be changed: style parameters (like font or color of
the comment lines, title inclusion, sizes...), mapping parameters
(like symbols form or color,...) and so on.
Those parameters can be saved.
It also draws haplotypes.
In this fifth version, all functions are not yet enabled.
It draws only simple pedigrees:
- no mate between two individuals of different generations
(for example uncle and niece)
- no satisfactory drawing of multiple mates >= 3
- no satisfactory drawing of crossed lines
- no twins
NB: the sixth version is in development and will be available in september.
This software is developped by L. Brun-Samarcq (1) in collaboration with A. Philippi (2), S. Gallina (3), F. Demenais (2), G. Vaysseix (1) (4) and E. Barillot (1) (4).
